Mod description:
When creating the mod, I was inspired by the great game – “Russian Fishing”.
The mod includes not only the mechanics of catching fish, but also the skill “Fishing” with its abilities.
Currently, the mod contains the following abilities:
– Fisherman: a general skill, affects the chance of catching fish. The skill affects the size of the caught fish. The higher the skill, the heavier the fish you can catch;
– Tackle Spinner: affects the chance of catching fish with a spinner;
– Tackle Hook: affects the chance of catching fish with a hook;
– Tackle Wobbler: affects the chance of catching fish with a wobbler;
– Gutting: affects the amount of fillet that can be obtained when cutting fish;
– Traps: affects the chance of catching fish using traps and reduces the time of fishing.
The mod contains:
– Spinning (requires installing a reel for fishing);
– Reels;
– Homemade hook (can be made from an aluminum can);
– Factory hook (recommended to replace vanilla, so that you can use different baits);
– Packs of bait: for sea fish (can be used as bait), for freshwater fish (can be used as bait), corn, peas;
– Groundbait/baits: maggot, dough, peas, corn;
– Fishing backpack;
– Bioresources: freshwater crab, Kamchatka crab, river crayfish, silver carp, golden carp, bream, perch, sea bass, silver carp, as well as their trophy specimens.
Mechanics:
– You can collect soil in an empty can and store gear and bait there;
– Bait the fish: thrown bait increases the chance of catching for 10 minutes;
– Effect of time on fishing;
– Notifications informing about the catch and its weight.
Settings:
– Lists of fish for the sea and fresh water bodies;
– Lists of fish for a specific tackle in a specific type of water bodies;
– Lists of fish for fishing with traps;
– Chances of catching with a rod with different tackle, chances of catching and time of catching with traps, for each skill level;
– Classification of rods by quality and bonus to catching fish.
Important:
– This mod disables vanilla fishing (to use regular fishing, comment my action in the PBO PUBLIC, and uncomment the vanilla one).
– The mod has passed all sorts of tests, but no one is immune from errors, so I will be grateful for feedback.
In the config, you can configure saving or resetting the skill when the character dies.
In the nearest updates: the ability to make trophy boards with your catch and the ability to add your own zones for catching individual types of fish, and of course, new types of fish.
Added 6 new skills: Day fishing, Night fishing, bad weather, clear weather, bait search, bait master.
“Day fishing” – The higher the skill level, the more likely it is to catch fish during daylight hours.
“Night fishing” – The higher the skill level, the more likely it is to catch fish in the dark.
“Bad weather” – The higher the skill level, the more likely it is to catch fish in bad weather.
“Clear day” – The higher the skill level, the more likely it is to catch fish in clear weather.
“Bait search” – The higher the skill level, the more worms you can dig out with a shovel.
“Bait Master” – The higher the skill level, the longer the bait lasts, and its consumption is lower.
– As part of the “Search for bait” skill, the “Search for bait” mechanic has been added in the grass. If you search without gloves, you may cut yourself. Compatible with the mod “Skill System: Dexterity” (reduces the chance of a cut).
– The setting of knives for cutting fish has been changed (upon request, the config now contains a list of knives that CANNOT be gutted).
– I did not change the configuration file. It will be changed in the next big update.
